Well this last month has definitely been a pain in the ass!
Between the accidental dismissal of 1500 people by the organizers of MTAC 20 minutes before our show, and the largest flood in recorded history in Nashville that happened the very next day, it’s been…. interesting! We’ve been kind of quiet lately- aside from the obvious fact that this is all very stressful, everyone in Team Illuminati, and quite a few of our friends, have been working behind the scenes to help in the recovery efforts. There simply hasn’t been any time to be loud or complain, because the truth is, we got lucky.
Because of the tragedy of this flood, Team Illuminati-connected bands The Telecommunicators, Absinthe Junk and Sara Jane have been working on a benefit show series called Rock The Flood Away, http://rockthefloodaway.org. Contact us through this site if you want to help.

Space Attack has now been finished, and is ready to be properly recorded. This is exciting!! We’ve shot over 30 hours of video footage of the process of writing, making worktapes, and rehearsing the songs. The narration is written, and we now have T-shirts, Stickers, Posters, and a variety of interesting merchandise items available HERE. We are aiming to have the whole thing recorded by this fall, and will probably play a big show to celebrate, and at that show, we’ll make sure no one accidentally dismisses the entire audience 20 minutes before we take the stage. If anyone tries to pretend like it’s over before we play, don’t be fooled! It’s not real!!!
Another interesting development is the ID Card Widget. Many of you may be wondering “Where’s my ID Card that I signed up for?” Well, this widget will answer that question- and it’s almost ready. It automates the entire process and allows us to print your card quickly, and also allows you to display it anywhere online. The lovely and talented Stephen Zerne is hard at work on it- check out his website, http://www.artnerd.com.
