In a stunning display of charitable giving, Team Illuminati has announced that they will be conducting a series of benefit concerts for the Federal Reserve, starting with their hugely anticipated April 30 show at the Middle Tennessee Anime Convention. Fans will be allowed to make donations of Monopoly money, which will be sent to the Fed after a 6 month collection period.
“We’re truly excited to be able to give something back”, commented Supreme Commander {∆}loysius, “…after all the Federal Reserve has given us over the years, it really feels like a special moment for us.”
Even with last year’s bailouts, and the magical disappearance of trillions of dollars, the Federal Reserve is having a very hard time making ends meet, and Team Illuminati recognizes this tragic situation for what it is: a completely preventable, unforgivable disaster that could have been avoided with more Monopoly money. Now is the time to lend a helping hand.
According to inside sources, Monopoly money will now be collected at all Team Illuminati shows and 69% of all the Monopoly money collected will be donated directly to the Federal Reserve through the use of the non-profit organization The Yes Men.
Anyone who comes to a Team Illuminati show without Monopoly money will be able to borrow Monopoly money to lend to Team Illuminati, at interest, and can then sell his or her products and services at the Team Illuminati merchandise table, for a small fee of 51% of all sales, plus Team Illuminati Tax Surcharges (TITS).
